When my cousin and I passed this site, I had to grab his camera and immediately take a photo. The image is so interesting to me because I find it so contradictory:

• A skateboard with high heel boots?
• A cold winter jacket and a miniskirt?

The image accurately captures a busy-looking and technological Japanese city in my mind. Notice the pay phone has a screen (most in the US didn’t when pay phones were still common). The mama-san bikes with baskets for groceries, etc. are also quite typical in Japan.
